Today has been a day for Marching! The Women’s Marches have been going on and on all day, all over the world. It has been amazing to watch. I did not choose to attend one myself, but I have been cheering everyone on. I am so proud of our country and those who have chosen to stand up, kindly, for what is right.

I am a mixed bag of emotions today and honestly didn’t think today was the day for me to be in public. I can assure it is at least some percentage hormonal, but also a combination of sheer terror and sadness. I have been depressed. It is not that. It is something else.

Many people claim that Facebook is not the place for political statements or political arguments. I say that is their opinion, but not mine. I honestly consider my Facebook wall to be my place… where I can say whatever I want. I can swear. I can vent. I can be silly. I can be stupid. I can say or post whatever I want. Anyone who does not like it has many options. They can unfriend me, unfollow me, hide me or even block me. Have at it, people.
On election night, I left Facebook and all social media. I was gone for a few weeks. I had to allow myself self-care and it was healing. It did me a lot of good. When I came back, I posted that I was going to be 100% genuine and anyone who didn’t like it could find the door….
So here I am. I am not happy to have Donald Trump as our president. I have been told repeatedly to ‘get over it’ since he won the election. Yeah, whatever. I won’t go there. What I will say is this…
Thanks to President Obama, I have a very high regard for the office of President of the United States. I respect that office immensely. I do not, however, respect Donald Trump. No fucking way. The man is a misogynist. He hates anything that stands against him. He hates women. He hates weakness. He is vile and awful and hateful. He is a slug. I will not be bullied to respect him.
I will continue to rely on Christ as my savior. I will continue to believe in the basic goodness of people. And I will continue to see the positives that guide me. Katho the Happiness Bully is still here… I took a little hiatus today, but fear not.
Thank you for reading. We will get through this together.
