7 months post-op

don't give up

I had my 7 month post-op check up today with both my surgeon and with the exercise physiologist.

I have lost 2 lbs since my last visit, which is not really what my surgeon wanted to see. She said that I should still be dropping weight quite rapidly. She wants me to focus on high protein, low everything else.

I am not going to make excuses. I am going to make changes. No more carb-laden snacks.(no more Cheetos WAHHH) My daily calories are very much within the range set on MyFitnessPal, but I guess this is where that whole conversation about the ‘types of calories’ would come in.

Okay… geez.  (yes, I am a bit whiny about this, but I will survive!)

I also signed up for a DietBet competition. If I lose 4% (only 7 lbs) in 6 weeks, I get to split the pot with a whole bunch of other people. Want to join? Here is the link!

There was some good news, too. P90X has allowed my total body fat to drop over 10%! That was very exciting. The exercise physiologist was not nearly as disappointed as the surgeon.

So, onward and upward, I say! Happy Monday and eat all the Cheetos for me!!!
