I had a check up with my PCP a week ago, and he was thrilled with my progress. He didn’t see the need to do any major bloodwork, but I request a test of my cholesterol.
I first learned I had high cholesterol when I was in college. I was a teenager but had a cholesterol of 246! That was quite a shocker.
By changing my diet, I was able to bring it down to just over 200, where it has remained.
I got my lab tests back yesterday and was thrilled to see that everything is within ‘normal’ limits now!!!
I am still experiencing a plateau in my weightloss. Honestly, I’m okay with that. It is little victories like this that really show how worth it that surgery was to my overall health!
