Last night, I posted a picture of Amelia on Facebook. I explained that she had experienced a difficult night and was sad. I, too was sad, because seeing my child with a broken heart hurts more than anything.

I was blown away today by all of the comments! In addition to the comments on the picture, I had people check in with me via text and in person to see if she was okay. I also got multiple personal messages.

Thank you all, so much, for reaching out. I did not know that so many of you would respond when I shared that moment of hurt. I had no idea that there were so many people who could relate. I am encouraged and renewed by the compassion and vulnerability.

One evening of hurt was turned around and it was people who did it. Y’all rock. Thank you so much.

This mama’s faith in humanity was restored today.
