I Aspire

Tonight I am wide awake. It’s after midnight and yet I don’t feel tired. I have a snoozing husband nearby and a puppy snuggling my legs.

I can’t say for sure why I’m so awake. I guess it’s because tomorrow (today?) is going to be special. Mikey and I are driving Mia up for an assessment at Mercyhurst.

She has applied to Mercyhurst and we still await news on that, but in the meantime, there are other things to do.

Mercyhurst has an Autism Supports program. It would be huge in helping Mia succeed, so we are sincerely hoping she is accepted by both the university and the program.

Tomorrow she will meet with the people who run the AS program. They will do an assessment. She is both nervous and excited.

Completely unrelated, a dear friend sent me this picture tonight and said I remind him of her because of my heart.

Truly, I am both touched and inspired. I would love to make the kind of difference she did. I aspire to be that impactful.

Shortly after I got his message, I saw this picture on Facebook.

Yup. It’s confirmed. I hope to be just like her someday. I want to lift people up and lighten their load. I want to help them heal. I may even spread some joy 💕

Anyway, happy Monday dear friends. Think of us today and say a little prayer for Mia.

And pray that I may be even a tiny bit like Eleanor. ☺️
