meh.

meh

Ever hear that uttered at you?

When I ask my youngest about anything, this is usually what I get. Especially if she is tired.

How was school?

meh.

How was practice?

meh.

What’s the newest, exciting news from school?

meh.

I know it goes with being 14, and I really don’t mind. She has a lot on her plate and a lot to process on a daily (hourly) basis. I get it. And generally once she has adequate food (and maybe a nap) I get a much more enthusiastic (or at least informative) answer.

Today, for me, is a meh kind of day. And it is mostly my own fault. Last night, as I was preparing for bed, it occurred to me that I needed to take my allergy meds. I had not taken them all weekend and it was showing. I was sneezing and I could feel a headache coming on. However, I looked at the clock and saw it was midnight. My allergy meds make me very, very groggy. I didn’t think I would have enough time to sleep them off, so I skipped them again.

Today I woke up with a pounding headache and very swollen sinuses. And it’s all my fault.

So, Kathy, how is your Monday so far?

meh.

Let’s hope things improve. I don’t think my household can handle two of us…

Happy Monday, everyone! Here is a little music to try to cheer us all up! (sorry about the advertisement… stupid YouTube!)
