It is Monday!

5 days

Who has been wondering about my weight loss progress? Who has been thinking, “That stinker has not posted a picture or an update in weeks!?” I have had people call and text me to ask, so I am guessing that there might be a few of you, so let me share!

I am currently fluctuating between 182 and 184 lbs. I have been at this weight since October 20. That’s 3 weeks. I guess I have stalled out a little. But it is okay, because I have not been exercising as much as I had been (thank you, dark and cold morning weather!) so I am pleased that I can maintain!

One of the biggest challenges for me, in this, is to accept myself. I have lost weight so many times that I don’t feel (yet) that I will be able to keep this weight off. I am basically waiting for the yo-yo effect to kick in, as it always has. Yes, I know that I had SURGERY which will make that effect extremely unlikely, especially at this early stage. But the human being inside my weak brain is still whispering to me that I’ll be gaining all the weight back any minute now.

So, while I work through this plateau, I would appreciate prayers and positive thoughts. I need to work hard to re-wire myself right now. This is not temporary. I am capable of a true life change. I have worked hard to get here, and I actually deserve to STAY here. (I say this all as a way of sharing what I have to say to myself right now)

I don’t have an updated picture to share with you all, but nothing has changed since the last picture anyway! I’m still very comfortably wearing size 14. If I stay here forever, I would be thrilled. I don’t have to lose any more for me, but I do think my doctor would like me to lose more, so we shall see. Not giving up, just trying to counsel myself through this!

Thanks so much to you faithful few who do check up on me via this blog. I hope you all are doing well on your own journeys!
