good morning!

happy thursday! i am in an exceptionally good mood today. i attribute it to spending time with mike. that is usually a good indicator that i am feeling calm and contented.

we have a busy evening planned for later. i am hopeful (optimistic) that i can get hair cut appointments for the girls and i. after that, they want to go to target. they have gift cards (thank you uncle dave and aunt amy) from target that they just HAVE to use! so that is our plan for later. since we will be out, we will pick dinner up from somewhere…. anyplace we can find that has food mia can eat.

oh, and speaking of mia… i should have taken a picture of her this morning. she was DECKED OUT. she had a great outfit with striped leggings and a polka dot sweater dress (thank you aunt maryjo and bilbo) with HEELS! the child had on high heels. now, you might ask where she got high heels. she lucked into a whole box of shoes from my friend, lindsay (thanks, linds). i did not think anything about letting her try on the shoes. she usually wears the same red loafers every day.

well, something made her want to wear heels today. HEELS! for my child who is not exceptionally coordinated to begin with, this is going to make for an interesting day! and, to top it all off, it is now snowing… so she gets to walk home, down hill, in her heels, in the snow. yeah…

should i expect a phone call around 3:05??? “mommy! i can’t walk home!” i am going to have to predict this as being a hard lesson learned! (cause, you know, i am a mean mommy!)

the other big news is that i have a kid-free weekend ahead of me!!!! (thank you gma and gpa for taking soph and thank you to their dad for taking mia and louisa). it has been months since i had a 100% kid-free weekend. know what makes it extra-special??? mike took saturday off!!!

so that is a little good morning update for you guys. i don’t know how many followers i actually get on here, but if you like to know the ins and outs of what my girls and i do, then i certainly want to give you updates!!!

do me a favor… just post to me that you like to read my blog. please?

hugs to you all!!!

Nice to hear from you this snowy morning! I will have to inquire how school was for your high healed daughter when mine gets home!

We would have packed the “normal” shoes in the back pack to avoid any unnecessary “issues”. But we were always extra cautious with the people at school, now we only have ourselves to worry about.

kim, i thought about throwing shoes in her bag, but part of me was all for letting her live with her consequences. she is so hard-headed sometimes (as i know you can relate) that my warnings were being ignored 100%.

thank goodness for the school nurse. apparently one of the straps on mia’s heels broke, so the nurse gave her a pair of boots to wear.

aw, thanks amy! i love reading other people’s blogs too. it lets me feel connected, even though i don’t get to see them much.

wonder when i might get to see YOU!?!?!? 😉
