it is that time again! it is a big year for us, as sophia has started down at the jr/sr high school as a 7th grader… where has the time gone????

amelia and louisa are still attending 10th Street Elementary. mia is in 6th grade and louisa is in 4th. my girls are just soooo grown!

proving that point, mia made me very proud today. she did not want to be early to school (i have to drop them off at 7:45 so i can be on time for work) so i told her she could stay at home and watch her show until 8am. i asked her to text me when she left and again when she got to school. she did both very well!

it is a melancholy thing, to see the girls growing up. i have never been a baby-lover, so i was not sorry to see their babyhoods end. but, i love the age they are at now. they still want to be with me. they still talk to me about everything. i know that they are going to want to be their own people and not go to ‘mommy’ for much. i think i will be sad when that happens. but at the same time, i love seeing the people that they are becoming. i love that they each have such distinct personalities (don’t believe me? look at that first day of school picture!). thank you God for such an amazing blessing. thank you. my girls are just awesome.
