frustrations……

i need to vent. i have so much crap swirling around in my brain today, that i just want to purge. i want to put all my thoughts down, in hopes of getting them OUT of my brain. please, bear with me.

first…. i have a 10 year old child, Amelia Grace, who had a very rough ending to her 5th grade year, and is now dreading the start of 6th grade tomorrow. she is so scared and it is coming out as anger. her emotions are volatile and i am exhausted by it.

next, i have very easily-distracted students right now. it takes all of one word to get them off task. as much as they seem to want to get their ged’s, they seem to want MORE to just goof off and visit. ugh! this is proof that the majority of my students are 17-18. When I have students who are 20-21, they are much more focused. they have the level of maturity that it takes to accomplish things without as much outside motivation.

next frustration? people! if i am doing something, and you can SEE i am focused, do not talk to me. ok? seriously…. or don’t make a phone call while i am in the room and ASSUME i am listening. i don’t listen. i am doing my own thing. guess what? i have A LOT of shit to do with my job. a lot. seriously. well, i actually do the job of THREE people. three… so when you see me typing on my computer or writing, please know i am WORKING. i really don’t want or need to be included in your conversation. ugh

also on my mind…. those who claim to be christian who do not LIVE as such… i am beyond done with those who judge me. i don’t care how you feel about my life choices. i don’t care if you don’t like that my car is covered in bumper stickers. your choice to make money, things, status and designer clothes your priority is one that i would not make, but do not judge. it is not for me. if i cared about that stuff, i would work in a field that makes a lot of money. guess what… i’m a teacher. get it? yeah, my priority in life is helping my ged students. my priority is making sure my kids know i love them no matter what. my priority is feeding my kids with both nutrients for their bodies and for their souls. i want my kids to believe that they should love jesus the most above any and all. nope, you don’t have to agree. but then again, you aren’t raising my kids!

my brain is finally calming down. i feel better. 😉 oh, and if you are over 21, i am having a birthday party for myself… i’m going to be 40 this year! come on out and join the party!!!! 😀
