If I was attempting to make a living with this blog, I would have already gone bankrupt and would be living on the streets. I have neglected this blog completely! I apologize to anyone who has taken the time to look for new posts, only to find the same old posts, gathering dust.
A quick update: I am still working hard on fitness. I have lost 50.3 lbs and feel amazing. I have about 30 more to lose, unless I become inspired to go beyond there. We shall see. My goal was to get healthy, and that is something I feel I have already reached. I am wearing a size I left over a decade ago… long before I had kids, actually.
My whole way of eating has changed. I am no longer willing to eat fried food, pop of any sort, fast food or anything full of preservatives. I eat fruits, veggies, chicken and beef. I drink a lot of water. A lot. (by the way, I really dislike water… strongly)
Every morning I wake at 5am. It takes me a while to wake up, get my workout clothes on, feed the cats (because if I skip this step they will be in my way the entire time I try to exercise) and get started. Generally, I am into the first mile by 5:30am. I finish up by 6:30, wake up the girls and then shower. After I get dressed, I make breakfast for anyone who wants it, make my own breakfast, make my lunch and we are out the door by 7:15.
I try to work out again after work/school. This happens about 80% of the time. Every once in a while, our evenings are over-booked and I have to be satisfied with only one work out. The crazy thing is, I was the one who used to say I simply could not be bothered to exercise. Now I get quite irritable if I don’t!
The lesson here is, once a new habit has been learned, it really can change a person fundamentally. I could never have been cooerced, or guilted, into exercising. Never. But I made the choice to develop this new habit and have stuck with it. Now I am so happy with my new self!
Anyone else out there making changes? Any good things going on? Fill me in!

I wish I had your dedication. I have lost a few pounds but I’ve lost more in inches than anything. I can feel the love handles going away slowly but surely. LOL You are looking great and I am so proud of you and your accomplishments. Keep doing you and being who you are!!!! Btw I miss your blog. I did read your post regularly.
